There are lots of opportunities to hear and make great music and join us in song at St Peter’s.

Sundays

Our main act of worship is our Sunday Sung Mass at 10am, which features a Mass Setting and four congregational hymns. If you love singing you’re welcome to join us to sing the congregational parts of our Mass and our hymns. Our service bulletins are purposefully designed to help us to engage with our singing, and we hold regular events that help those who have never read music before to begin to grow in confidence in singing joyfully!

St Peter’s Choir

Around once a month and for special services, our Choir plays a special part in leading our worship. Our choir is a fun way to explore new music and lead us in song. If you’re a confident soprano, alto, tenor or bass and would like to join our choir please contact Ryan. Rehearsal dates are published ahead of time and are a fun and informal way to learn the music for the following sung eucharist or special service.

Compline (Sung Night Prayer) – 1st Sunday of each month 6pm

Our monthly service of Compline is a beautiful twenty minutes of choral music by candlelight at the end of the day. All are welcome to come along to bathe in the beautiful music and to join in singing our congregational hymn and other responses.

Singers who are able to sight-read to a good standard are invited to come and singer, the rehearsal takes place immediately before each Compline service. To audition for our Compline choir, please contact Ryan.
