Interregnum

Our new incumbent starts March 2026, Fr Tim Carroll.

Hello St Peter’s De Beauvoir,
I am delighted to have been appointed as your new vicar.
When I first read the parish profile, I had a strong sense that
the culture and history of the parish and church would be a
good fit for me. This feeling was confirmed when I met
members of the PCC, staff, and congregation the day before
my interview. I was genuinely taken aback by how warm and
welcoming everyone was.

I am very much looking forward to meeting you all soon—to worship together, to build up our life as a church community, and to form good relationships across the whole parish. The tradition, diversity, inclusivity, and creativity of St Peter’s feel especially meaningful, and I can’t wait to join in with the life of what is already a flourishing parish church.

For the past two years, I have served as Associate Vicar at St Mary Abbots, with a
particular focus on social outreach and school chaplaincy. I have really valued my time there, and as I prepare to leave I do so with both sadness and great thankfulness for the opportunities I’ve had to serve alongside an amazing clergy team, a committed staff, and a dedicated congregation. Before that, I served my curacy at Wakefield Cathedral—another great context in which to minister—and prior to that I worked in three other Anglican churches.

I also bring a background in youth and community work, particularly from my years inBelfast, where I’m from and lived for my first 30 years before moving to the Netherlands and then to London. Outside of church life, I’m fairly obsessed with playing and watching football, and I’m very into music. I’m excited to be closer to some of my favourite music venues and record shops!

As I said, I look forward to meeting you all soon. Wishing you a blessed Christmas, and I look forward to celebrating Easter together next year.
