Let us pray.

God of Promises Kept, we pray for our church of St Peters and for our Diocese.

We pray for Bishop Joanne, Rev Andrew Wilson, Rev Irena Edgecombe and Rev Andy Rider.

We thank you Lord, for each of them and for their inspiration and encouragement and we ask that we will share in their confident faith in the good news of the Gospel.

God’s grace has provided us with Matthew and Sarah as they minister to us and for Eckart as he co-ordinates worship. We are thankful for their gifts and talents and ask that each may be strengthened and blessed.

Lord in the silence, Hear our prayer

God of purpose, we look upon our fractured world and thank you for so many places where people seek to work together. We pray that our national leaders may bring cohesion. We ask that we can look in our local community and find new purpose in our life in St Peters church.

Lord in the silence, hear our prayer

God of Lenten reflection, we thank you for our homes as a place of refuge. We thank you for the Health Service and the vaccination rollout and we ask that you will strengthen the weary hands of those delivering these services.

We lift the lonely and vulnerable before you in prayer and ask that we have opportunities to support and encourage our neighbours.

Help us to use this time of Lent to make us unified in our discussions about the Parish Profile and direct our path into service.

Healing Lord, we thank you that the pandemic is abating. We pray for those who are ill at this time from whatever cause. We are reminded that you remember the elderly and frail.

Resurrection Lord, we lift before you those known to us who have recently died, especially our precious sister in Christ, Amanda Davies. May she rest in peace and may light perpetual shine upon her. May God uphold Michael and the family in love.

We also remember those whose anniversary of their death falls at this time.

On Tuesdays at 8.30pm, St Anne’s Hoxton offers a simple zoom service of Night Prayer (Compline). St Peter’s congregation is invited to join. All cameras and microphones are off, so it is like listening to a radio broadcast, with the words of the service on the screen.
