GOSPEL

John 10.11-18

‘I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. The hired hand, who is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and runs away—and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. The hired hand runs away because a hired hand does not care for the sheep. I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father.

And I lay down my life for the sheep. I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd. For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life in order to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it up again. I have received this command from my Father.’

INTERCESSIONS

Intercessions

From Esther Makinde

Let Us Pray

Immortal God, we thank You that we are still alive to praise and worship Your Name as always as only the living can praise and worship You.

Bless all Your chosen Bishops and Clergies all over the world and let them continue to point us into the right Christian Directions as favoured by You Lord.

We pray for all those who make our worship here at St Peters run smoothly especially the Volunteer Clergies, Sarah, Eckart, The Worship Team and Pastoral Assistants. May it please Thee Lord to bless them and their families.

Lord Meet us in the Silence and hear our Prayer.

God of Peace, we pray that You give all the World Leaders the good wisdom of ruling their subjects fairly with good equality. We ask that You please give peace into the lives of those people whose countries are still fighting wars or in one conflict or the other especially Myanmar, Afghanistan and Hong Kong that You give their Leaders the wisdom of compromise for settling their misunderstanding s and differences for a lasting peace.

Lord Meet us in the Silence and hear our Prayer.

Loving Father, Bless our community and let us continue to live in peace and harmony and guide our youths to be distant from all evils and crimes.

We pray for all those who are sick either in the home or in the hospital especially Grace Esien that You please heal all of them off all their illnesses.

Bless our NHS workers and paramedics as well as Teachers and School Children and Carers. We ask You Lord to provide adequate shelters for the homeless and jobs for the unemployed.

Lord Meet us in the Silence and hear our Prayer.

Comforting Lord, we pray for the recently departed including the Duke of Edinburgh and Joshua Daniel that you let them Rest in Perfect Peace and give their families the fortitude to bear their loss.

We remember at this time and pray for  Our Majesty The Queen, who is going through widowhood that You be her Comforter and Companion.

We also remember and pray for those whose anniversaries fall at this time including : Carlotta Moor, Albert Edmund and Gerald Hay.

Eternal Rest Grant Unto Them Oh Lord

And May Thy Light Perpectual Shine Upon Them.

Lord Teach us how to pray and always hear  the Prayers we offer to You both from inside and outside of our Church here at St Peters.

Merciful Father Accept These Prayers for the Sake of Your Son Our Saviour Jesus Christ.

Amen.
