Let us pray together, giving thanks for all our blessings.

Let us pray for all who minister to us, lay people and priests, giving thanks for their ministry.

Today, we pray especially for Matthew and his family.

Lord, meet us in the silence … and hear our prayer.

We pray for the nations of the world, their leaders and all people who seek peace.  Help us, and our leaders, to show compassion and consideration to all.

Lord, meet us in the silence … and hear our prayer.

Let us hold in our prayers the troubled or sick in body or mind.  We pray for everyone who fears the future and that faith may give them hope.

Lord, meet us in the silence … and hear our prayer.

We remember those who have died, especially those who have died alone or in tragic circumstances.

Let us also remember those whose year’s mind falls at this time including Henry Richardson.

Rest eternal grant unto them, O Lord … and may thy light perpetual shine upon them.

May the knowledge of God’s glory be revealed through us. Let us pray that, through Christ, everyone will enjoy fellowship, comfort and peace.

Merciful Father, accept these prayers for the sake of your Son, our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
