Maundy Thursday Mass of the Lord’s Supper with Foot-Washing

We begin the Sacred Triduum – the three days at the culmination of Holy Week – by celebrating the institution of the Eucharist. We enact our Lord’s washing the feet of his disciples, celebrate the Eucharist together, before the  sudden turn to darkness and stripping of the Church of all hangings as a sign of the events about to unfold. We then enact our Lord’s vigil of prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane. All are invited to stay a while with the Lord in silence as we keep vigil.
