“I first encountered St Peter’s while developing a project on change in the community with a local theatre company. As I cycled past the church, I thought to myself, there are people in there who have thoughts and feelings about this area and how life has changed since the 2008 financial crisis. I visited and felt immediately welcomed. A conversation began and continues to grow. As Stewardship Officer I encourage everyone on the electoral roll to give what they can so that we have our own Vicar, a welcoming space and the resources necessary for our worship. Stewardship also means valuing the time and many other gifts offered to nurture the people and natural environment within our parish. Without a stable financial base, we cannot take action in response to God’s call for us to love our neighbours as ourselves.”
