Who we are

  • Fr Simon Cuff

    Vicar

“I’m Fr Simon Cuff, Vicar here at St Peter’s. I’m passionate about social justice & vibrant celebrations of the Eucharist as the heart of our parish life. I was baptised in Heathrow Airport chapel as a baby and many years later was involved in the campaign for a Living Wage there!”

    Mthr Buki Fatona

    Assistant Curate

    (Mondays, Saturdays, Sundays)

“I am delighted at the prospect of serving a curacy at St Peter de Beauvoir Town. I despise, speak out against, and try to mitigate societal injustices particularly in relation to minoritised groups. Singing and listening to music is a big part of my life. I also enjoy art and Tate Modern is my happy place. Cultivating an ever-deepening spirituality is of utmost importance to me. I very much look forward to meeting you all!”

  • Simon Perfect

    Ordinand

I’m Simon! I’m an ordinand (training to be a vicar). I’m enjoying learning ‘on the job’ as part of the brilliant St Peter’s community. Previously I was a researcher at Theos, a religion and society thinktank, and a tutor at SOAS, University of London. I’m happiest when singing loudly, wearing silly costumes or watching The Simpsons (preferably all at once).

  • Amanda Monaghan

    Churchwarden

My name is Amanda and I have lived in and around De Beauvoir for many years.  I first started attending St Peter’s in 2013 and worshipping here has helped me plant deeper roots in the local community and strengthen my personal faith.  The church itself is a place of great peace and beauty and the church family is warm, welcoming and most importantly active in its support of members of the local community and the wider world.

  • Amanda Bart-Plange

    Churchwarden and Pastoral Assistant

“I’m Amanda and have been attending St Peter’s for 13 years and have been Pastoral Assistant for the last 7. I enjoy serving on the welcome team and administering Holy Communion. I am passionate about the well-being of people, especially the young and the elderly. St Peter’s has given me a lot in terms of spiritual growth, confident, support and enjoy the way of worship and interaction across the congregation.”

  • Sarah Dallas

    Licensed Lay Minister (Reader)

“I’m Sarah, Licensed Lay Minister here at St Peter’s. I strongly believe in the power of silent prayer, contemplation & meditation and help to find places to practice this more widely in St Peter’s”

  • Kathy Boyce

    Parish Administrator & Events Co-ordinator

    Tuesdays and Thursdays

“Hello I’m Kathy! I’ve lived in the neighbourhood for over 10 years and have previously been involved in the De Beauvoir Association and Night Shelter. Community is very important to me, I worked to establish a thriving parent community at the start of the pandemic (let me know if you’d like the details) and also fundraise for a social dog walking group I founded in 2018. I am married with a young son in nursery and as a family we enjoy creating new memories together!”

  • Ryan Connolly

    Director of Music

“I’m Ryan, St Peter’s Director of Music. I’ve led youth and adult community choirs, church choirs, and worked as a choral professional for over twenty years. I’m originally from St. Paul, Minnesota in the United States, and am committed to enriching the congregational experience through music. I’ve  studied architecture, vocal music education, conducting, and piano. I’m currently completing an MBA!”

  • Romee Day

    Organist

“I’m Romee. I started coming to St Peter’s some 30 years ago and have been playing the organ for 25 years. I was a Parish Assistant and greatly enjoyed organising the Freedom Club weekly meetings for people old enough to have a Freedom Pass. Like me!”

  • Jeannette (Jay) Wilkes

    Safeguarding Officer (07972816771)

“I’m Jay, a retired GP, and the safeguarding lead here at St Peter’s. I love music and am interested in environmental sustainability & food security. I’m keen to see St Peter’s continue to develop as a place of healing, working alongside local services, and a place which celebrates our wonderful diversity!”

  • Sofia Grace

    Parish Nurse Designate

    Wednesdays

“I’m Sofia and will be starting in mid-May as your Parish Nurse. My nursing career has predominantly been in mental health and health visiting.  I’ve just completed a post graduate certificate in primary care (Practice Nursing) in Hackney, and have been working part-time for a GP in Tower Hamlets. Do say hello or get in touch to help shape our Parish Nursing service.

  • Vivette Ferguson

    Pastoral Assistant

“I’m Vivette, one of St Peter’s Pastoral Assistants. I’m an organiser and can turn my hand to anything. I have a strong sense of culture and family (not necessarily in that order!). I’m open and like to tell it how it is. “

  • Paul Snow

    Treasurer

“I’m Paul, a retired mechanical engineer who enjoyed travel and contract negotiation. At St Peter’s I’m involved in various financial and administrative tasks. I enjoy playing bridge both online and in person. My children and grand-children bring me great joy!”

  • Jurgita Kucinskiene

    Financial Assistant (Bookkeeper)

👋 I am Jurgita, and I work at St Peter’s as a Financial Assistant and am interested in accounting, hiking, reading, and I love maths!”

  • Kate Green

    PCC member

“Hello! I’ve been attending St Peter’s for around 25 years. I’ve served on the PCC several times, helped with Noisy Church and the Young People’s Group, led Lent Groups and helped to run the winter Night Shelter.  I value the quiet spirituality of St Peter’s and am optimistic about increasing its presence amongst the local community. I work at Whittington Health, and in my free time enjoy reading, walking (I have just started to walk the Thames Path!), music (70s prog rock) and the pub quiz.  I am married to Andrew and am pictured here with son Chris, who grew up in de Beauvoir and now lives with his wife Natalie in Bath.”

  • Mae Fredericks

    PCC member

  • Debby Lawrence

    Warm Welcome Steward

“Hi! I’m Debby and am one of the regular stewards for occasions in the church and crypt, and help lead our Warm Welcome project on a Wednesday. Outside of St Peters I might be seen walking my foster cat Sammy along Lawford Road on a harness : it’s a great way of getting to know my neighbours and chatting to passers by. I also run a business as a 1:1 Diet Consultant and help people (many local) reach a happier and healthier weight.”

  • Boachie Dankwah

    Pastoral Assistant

“I am Boachie and have been coming to St Peter’s for close to two decades with my wife. I have two children both of whom were born into the Christian faith. St Peter’s has been very supportive in my Christian faith in many ways. I enjoy interacting with Church members. I am very passionate about our fellowship at St Peter’s!”
